Traditional Dress of Gilgit Baltistan ....


   Introduction

Woolen coat (chogha)  A thick, fur-lined coat suitable for the cold mountainous climate.

Traditional cap (Pakol or Khoi)  A red embroidered cap, commonly worn in the region.

 A resolution passed by the representatives of Poonyal Customary Council against the unlawful act of Gilgit Baltistan Government. as the lawyers and bar associations of Gilgit Baltistan already rejected the expected bill of Gilgit Baltistan  Assembly. Before 1947 the lands of gilgit baltistan divided into sevral small states like poonyaal state , yasin, ishkoman,gupis , gilgit, hunza, shigar, skrduu, runduu, astore, chilas,nagir etc. these states were ruled by Rajas and meers of hunza but they were fallow the british rule of fronteer core Regulations FCR poonyaal state was one of the popular histrical state state like hunza Nagir,and yasin. it is famouse for its agriculture and fruits.
